“Sometimes all one needs to do to open up a space of vulnerability is to make a small postural change. Part of vulnerability is stance. When I’m in ropes, I break my posture, moving my knees, hips, and shoulders out of alignment. I change my center of gravity. For me, becoming better expressing vulnerability involved a technical skill. Yet, the tools for allowing oneself to be vulnerable, or communicating that one is vulnerable, are not something we are all given equal education in or access to.”
